Job Summary
The role will assist ARCA’s management to coordinate the planning, execution, and closing of ARCA response to compliance risk. The role will also be responsible for the company’s operations and other functional units including strategic business projects, Legal Compliance, Risk Management, Compliance with laws
Job Details
§ Ensures that ARCA maintains the appropriate compliance risk posture and as such, works in close collaboration with risk owners, business owners, and information system owners
§ Serves as a principal advisor on all matters involving the compliance risk management of business processes and information systems such as contract management, 3rd party due diligence, regulatory management, and others
§ Plays an active role in the monitoring of business processes, information systems, and environments of operation
§ Develops and updates contracts and risk management plans
§ Manages and controls internal and external change
§ Assesses the associated compliance risk
§ Develops and maintains policies, procedures, and control techniques to manage compliance risk
§ Manages personnel with significant responsibilities for compliance risk management, and ensures that the personnel receive adequate assignment, mentoring, and training
§ Works closely with senior management and their designated representatives to ensure:
§ ARCA implements an organization-wide program resulting in adequate management of compliance risk for all business processes, information systems, and environment of operation
§ ARCA integrates considerations for compliance risk management into development, planning, and budgeting cycles, enterprise architectures, and acquisition life cycles
§ ARCA’s systems attain approved security and risk plans, and obtain authorization to operate
§ ARCA’s reports centrally the appropriate activities related to compliance risk management
§ ISO standards implementation
§ Reviewing, updating, implementing compliance policies, procedures, and manuals.
§ Maintain and update the risk register
Requirements
-BSc/BA in law, finance, business administration or a related field
-Professional certification (e.g., Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP)) is a plus
§ Proven experience as a Compliance Officer
§ Experience in risk management
§ Knowledge of legal requirements and controls (e.g., Anti-Money Laundering, or AML)
§ Familiarity with industry practices and professional standards
§ Excellent communication skills
§ Integrity and professional ethics
§ Business acumen
